American Traveler is seeking an RN with cardiology experience for a fast-paced outpatient clinic in Wisconsin. The role requires an active WI license or compact licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 3+ years in cardiology settings including Cath Lab or ICU/CVICU. Epic EMR experience is preferred and there is potential for travel consideration.

The position involves rooming patients, managing orders and triage calls, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital-campus clinic.

• Comfortable managing cardiology patient types and performing phone triage, order entry, and patient education.
• Experience with Holter/event monitor placement preferred, though training is available.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN.
• Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration.

Responsabilidades

• Outpatient cardiology clinic in a hospital campus setting.
• 11-room clinic with average 24-60 patients per day.
• See patients, ~15 minutes each, in a fast-paced environment.
• Care for adult cardiology patients including CHF, chest pain, post-Cath Lab, EP, etc.
• Occasional stress testing; IV dobutamine may be used.
• Use Epic EMR; MAs perform rooming and EKGs; perform orders and triage calls.
• Collaborate with MAs/LPNs, RNs, a Lead Nurse, a Manager, 5 cardiologists, 1 EP MD, and 4 NP/PAs.
• Up to two weeks orientation based on skill level.

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinic, ICU/CVICU, Cath Lab, or Cardiac Stepdown settings
• Comfortable managing cardiology patient types and performing phone triage, order entry, and patient education
• Experience with Holter/event monitor placement preferred, though training is available

Responsibilities

• Outpatient cardiology clinic located within a medical office building on a hospital campus
• 11-room clinic with an average of 24-60 patients per day
• Fast-paced environment seeing patients every 15 minutes
• Adult patient population including CHF, chest pain, pre/post Cath Lab, post-CABG, post-valve replacement, pulmonary hypertension, peripheral artery disease, and EP patients
• Some stress testing performed, occasionally including IV dobutamine administration
• EKG machines used onsite, with MAs performing the majority of rooming and EKGs
• Monday through Friday schedule, 0800-1700, with a rotating half day off each week
• No floating, weekend rotation, on-call, or holiday requirements
• Uses Epic EMR (preferred), Alaris IV pumps, and Zio/Bardy monitors
• Responsibilities include authorizing procedures, entering orders, managing in-basket tasks, calling patients with abnormal labs, and phone triage
• Works alongside MAs/LPNs, Patient Service Reps, a Lead Nurse, a Manager/Supervisor, 5 cardiologists, 1 EP MD, and 4 NP/PAs
• Up to two weeks of orientation provided based on skill level and comfort
• Scrubs must be a solid professional color with no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available onsite
• First-time travelers considered if able to transition from acute to clinic settings
• Former Advocate Health employees must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
• Up to 5 days of requested time off can be approved
