Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

The position requires an active RN license (MO or Compact) and includes travel-related benefits. Schedule is 3x12-hour nights (7p-7a) totaling 36 hours per week, with potential float to other Med/Surg units and telemetry capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required.
• BSN not required.
• MEDITECH charting experience highly preferred.
• Basic telemetry experience a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Med/Surg unit at a Level 3 trauma facility with 39 total beds.
• Patient population includes non-acute cardiac cases such as pacemaker monitoring and potassium level management.
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• Uses MEDITECH charting system and McKesson medication system.
• Schedule consists of 3x12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with some weekend requirements.
• 36 hours per week.
• First priority for floating to other Med/Surg units within scope of practice.
• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities.
• Royal blue scrubs required, not provided by facility.
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 4 weeks worked.
