Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Night shift on an Ortho/Neuro/Peds unit in Georgia. The role requires at least one year of Med/Surg experience and a GA or compact RN license. BLS is required, plus FM and IV start skills.

Travel experience is preferred and drivers’ license verification is needed for pay eligibility. The assignment features 4x12 hour nights, EOW rotation, and a schedule impacted by distance from the facility.

Qualifications

• Active GA or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg experience required.
• Intermediate fetal monitoring (FM) skills required.
• IV Start skills required.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Copy of driver’s license required to verify residence for pay rate eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit specializing in Ortho/Neuro/Peds patient population.
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00).
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) rotation required.
• Patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7.
• Royal blue scrubs required and not provided by facility.
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) accepted, especially around holidays.
• Candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility are not eligible for the traveler rate.
• Candidates residing 31-50 miles from the facility may be accepted at the local rate.
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start, completed through HealthStream.
