Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a general and bariatric surgery unit in Georgia. The role requires 2+ years of recent Med/Surg experience and an active GA or compact RN license.

Shifts are 12 hours (7p–7:30a) with 36 hours guaranteed weekly. You may work holidays and earn travel housing allowances, with local candidate restrictions for travel positions.

Qualifications

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg surgical specialty
• Current AHA BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Acute Surgery Unit (614A) focused on Med/Surg surgical patients
• Typical cases include general surgery, colo-rectal, bariatric, and plastic surgery
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 7p-7:30a schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• Provide direct nursing care to general and bariatric surgery patients
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers
• First-time travelers may be considered
