Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a nephrology floor in Georgia. Requires GA or compact RN license, BLS; ACLS preferred. One year Med/Surg experience and Cerner familiarity encouraged.

RN will work nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), with 1:6 or 1:7 patient ratios and EOW rotation. Local candidates within 31–50 miles are paid local rate; those within 30 miles not eligible. Benefits include medical/dental/vision from day 1, a 401(k) plan, weekly pay, free CEUs, travel and licensure

Qualifications

• Active GA or compact RN license
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Skills required: IV starts, medication administration, isolation precautions/PPE
• Preferred skills: telemetry, cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management, wound care/wound vac, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, oxygen administration, oral suctioning, surgical drain care, Heparin administration
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit with a focus on nephrology patients
• Night shift, three 12-hour shifts weekly (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7
• Every other weekend (EOW) rotation required
• Cerner charting system experience
• Care for Med/Surg and nephrology patients including pre/post hemodialysis management
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO), especially around holidays
• Local candidates within 31-50 miles of the facility accepted at local rate
• Candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility are not eligible for this assignment
• Possible extension beyond the initial 13-week assignment
