Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with orthopedic experience for a night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Work in the Medical Surgical unit with an orthopedic focus; night shifts are 19:00–07:00, 3x12-hour shifts, with a 1:4-5 patient ratio and Epic charting. The assignment length is 13 weeks, with teaching and community hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active MO or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience required.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Experience with ortho trauma, total joint replacement, and peripheral nerve block catheters.
• IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration preferred.
• Tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and chest tube care preferred.
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management preferred.
• Wound care/wound vac experience preferred.
• 1 year of charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit with an orthopedic focus.

• Uses Epic charting system.
