Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment on a 27-bed medical-surgical unit in New Hampshire. The role requires an active NH RN license or Compact license in hand and at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience.

Travel-ready candidates with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, a Med/Surg skills checklist, supervisory reference, and own vehicle will be preferred. Permanent address is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Active NH RN license or Compact license in hand at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required.
• BSN highly preferred.
• Previous travel experience highly preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required.
• Med Surg skills checklist required for consideration.
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required.
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment.
• Permanent address must be included for consideration.

Responsibilities

• 27-bed medical surgical unit in a critical access hospital.
• 6:1 patient ratio.
• Diverse patient population including psych holds, end-of-life care, post-op patients (PLIF, GI surgeries, total joints), SNF patients, and physical rehab patients.
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if needed.
• No on-call requirements.
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted.
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required.
• Holiday coverage required for two of the following: Thanksgiving and the Friday/weekend after, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the Friday/weekend after, or New Year's Eve/New Year's Day and the Friday/weekend after.
• No more than 3 days of RTO accepted, and all requests must be submitted prior to consideration.
• Scheduling and time-off requests cannot be accommodated after offer or at interview.
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
• Candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment will not be considered.
• Candidates requesting schedule accommodations such as block scheduling will not be considered.
