Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 12-hour day shift on a 27-bed unit in New Hampshire. Candidates must have NH or compact RN licensure and be prepared to meet travel requirements.

The position requires recent trauma experience and a strong background in post-surgical care, drains, central lines, wound care, and telemetry. Benefits include housing allowance and travel/licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active NH RN license or Compact RN license with proof of state residency required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 2 previous travel assignments completed.
• Experience with post-surgical drains, central line care/maintenance, and Foley insertion.
• Experience with G tubes, J tubes, NG tubes, and PEG tubes.
• Experience with IV medication administration and IV push.
• Experience with wound care and O2 therapy.
• Epic and telemetry experience preferred.
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required.

Responsibilities

• 27-bed medical-surgical unit caring for inpatients with a variety of medical conditions and post-operative needs.
• Patient population is primarily elderly but can be as young as 18, with common diagnoses including post-op ortho, general surgery, ETOH, CHF, and pneumonia.
• RN patient ratio of 5:1 and LNA patient ratio of 3:1.
• 12-hour day shifts (07:00-19:00), 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend required.
• Rotating holiday coverage required.
• Care for inpatients on a new medical-surgical unit at a facility similar in structure to a 27-bed unit.
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
