American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Texas. The role requires a TX or compact RN license and 2 years of acute care hospital experience. BLS certification and Nursys verification within 30 days of start are required.

The RN will work on a 32-bed Med/Surg unit, may float to Ortho/Trauma and Observation units, and use Cerner EHR. Day shift is from 06:45 to 19:15 with holiday coverage expectations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• May float to Ortho/Trauma and Observation units.
• Cerner EHR experience preferred.
• Commitment to patient care on day shift 06:45–19:15.
• Ensure compliance with safety and facility policies.

• Provide direct nursing care including implementing and monitoring patient care plans
• Coordinate care across disciplines and manage physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required for Thanksgiving and Christmas
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate due to facility radius rule
