American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment in New Hampshire. The role requires Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience, active NH/Compact RN license, and BLS. Expect 12-hour PM-AM shifts with day/night rotation and on-call duties.

Candidates should have chest tube and complex line/tube management experience, telemetry, wound care, and central line skills. Housing allowances and per diem may be offered for travelers.

Qualifikationen

• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
• Experience with chest tubes and general tube management required
• Experience with drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone required
• Experience managing lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients required
• Experience with trachs and laryngectomies required
• Telemetry experience required
• Experience managing complex wounds required
• Experience with central line care, maintenance, and blood draws required

Aufgaben

• Medical Specialties Unit caring primarily for medical (non-surgical) patients
• Population includes sepsis, infections, AKI, CKD, diabetes, GI issues, electrolyte imbalances, alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, skin/wound issues, and acute or chronic respiratory illness including COPD, flu, pneumonia, CF
• Unit includes 1 East (36 beds) and 2/3 East (25 beds)
• 12-hour PM-AM shifts with day/night rotation
• On-call responsibilities required
• Weekly hours of 36 or 48
• Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care across a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• No local candidates will be considered

Responsibilities

• Patient population includes sepsis, infectious processes, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis), diabetes, GI issues, fluid/electrolyte imbalances, alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, heart disease, skin/wound issues, and acute or chronic respiratory illness including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and Cystic Fibrosis
• Facility is a nationally recognized CF center with adult CF admissions managed on this unit
• Unit includes 1 East (36 beds) and 2/3 East (25 beds)
• 12-hour PM-AM shifts with day/night rotation
• On-call responsibilities required
• Weekly hours of 36 or 48
• Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care across a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
