Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift hospital assignment in Colorado. The ideal candidate holds an active CO or compact RN license and has at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience. BLS and ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate are required, with Epic EMR experience preferred.

The assignment includes 3x12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), weekend work, and on-call discussions at interview. Background check and drug screening are required before start; travel staff must be separated from

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license; no pending licenses.
• BLS certification; not expiring before start date.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit.
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg experience.
• ASN degree; BSN preferred.
• Epic EMR experience.
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Med Surg 1 unit within a hospital setting.
• 3x 12-hour night shifts per week (1900-0730).
• Weekend shifts required.
• On-call requirements to be discussed during interview.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care.
• Perform health teaching and counseling, and provide supportive and restorative therapy.
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment.
• Background check and drug screening results required prior to start, with drug screen completion expected within 24 hours of commitment.
