Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift acute care position requiring EPIC EMR experience and an active RN license.

The role includes a 36-hour work week, a night schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and requires BLS certification. BSN is preferred and acute care experience is desired.

Qualifications

• Active RN license for the state of practice.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• BLS certification required (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS accepted).
• EPIC EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Acute unit within a hospital setting.
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• 36-hour work week only.
• Delivers coordinated nursing care to assigned patients following established standards and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs nursing staff while coordinating care across disciplines.
• Collects patient data, develops care plans, implements interventions, and evaluates outcomes.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team to provide safe, compassionate care.
• Participates in discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Delegates and coordinates duties among healthcare team members.
• Holiday RTO requests will not be approved.
• Required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
