Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift contract in Bluffton, IN. Must hold IN RN license with telemetry experience and be credentialed in BLS/ACLS, PALS preferred.

The unit is a 40-bed facility with 20 beds in the unit and 10 swing beds. Night shift runs 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with coverage on every 4th weekend and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• 3 years of experience preferred.
• Telemetry skills and ICU drip experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• ACLS telemetry care for acute medical–surgical patients.
• 40 licensed beds (10 swing beds); 20 beds in unit.
• Avg daily census ~10 patients; 1:6 for acute, 1:10 for swing.
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; every 4th weekend.
• No on-call and no floating; block scheduling available.
• Cerner EMR preferred; provide care across acute, progressive, and swing bed populations.
• Navy blue scrubs required; RTO up to 48 hours for 13-week contract.
• Every other holiday coverage required; >50 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

• PALS certification preferred
• 3 years of experience preferred
• Skilled in IV starts, nursing assessments, and telemetry monitoring
• ICU drip experience preferred
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment
• Driver's license and permanent home address required, matching submitted ID

Responsibilities

• Acute Care Medical Surgical unit with telemetry, progressive care, and swing bed patients
• Facility has 40 licensed beds including 10 swing beds, with 20 beds in the unit
• Average daily census of 10 patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for acute care and 1:10 for swing beds
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every 4th weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Block scheduling available
• Cerner EMR preferred
• Provide nursing care across acute, progressive care, and swing bed patient populations
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO available up to 48 hours for the 13-week contract, with requests under 1 week
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
