Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Clinic RN with family care clinic experience and a WI or compact RN license for a day-shift assignment.

The role requires active licensure in Wisconsin or a compact state, current BLS (AHA), and at least two years in a family care clinic. Cerner charting experience and a telemetry exam are required prior to start, with duties including triage, patient teaching, and minor procedures.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA only).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a family care clinic.
• Cerner charting system experience required.
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic setting providing family care services.
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.
• Float to other clinics or units as needed.
• Uses Cerner charting system.
• Perform triage, patient teaching, and assist with minor procedures such as dressing changes, suture removal, and pap smears.
• Administer medications including antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, bronchodilators, and immunizations.
• Conduct laboratory testing and specimen collection including glucose, strep, TB skin testing, and urinalysis.
• Handle office duties such as chart preparation, referrals, authorization forms, and telephone triage.
• Provide pediatric and adult assessments including vital signs, EKG, and pain assessment.
• Free onsite parking available.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• First-time travelers considered as long as they have solid clinic experience.
