Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long-Term Care for a contract position in Dubuque, IA. The role focuses on delivering high-quality geriatric nursing care, managing chronic conditions, and ensuring daily wellness for residents in a skilled nursing environment.

The ideal candidate has LTC/SNF experience, is proficient with EHR documentation, and can collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Active RN license in Iowa or a Compact/NLC state.
• BLS certification required.
• LTC/SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and monitor residents for health changes.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy per orders.
• Perform wound care and skin integrity assessments; prevent pressure ulcers.
• Identify acute changes, escalate, and update care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, PT/OT, and social workers for interdisciplinary care.
• Accurately document care, treatments, and responses in the EHR.
