Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an RN Supervisor for an Emergency Department in California. Must hold a CA RN license, have supervisory experience, and be proficient with Epic EMR.

The role involves department leadership with a 36-hour week, day shift (07:00–19:30), collaboration with medical staff, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives. Travel/local candidates considered; EPIC experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have CA RN license or compact license with CA endorsement.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience, within last 3 months.
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC) required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• No prior disciplinary action on license.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department leadership role with limited bedside nursing responsibilities.
• Day shift schedule, 36 hours per week, 07:00 AM-07:30 PM.
• Uses Epic EMR system.
• Provides unit-based leadership in collaboration with Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff.
• Supervises and directs nursing and ancillary personnel using independent judgment.
• Participates in direct patient care as needed.
• Leads interdisciplinary conferences with patients, families, and care teams to develop and revise care plans.
• Makes patient rounds and solicits feedback to improve quality of care and patient satisfaction.
• Investigates and resolves patient care and operational issues.
• Fosters a culturally sensitive, patient and family-centered care environment.
