Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department assignment in California. The role requires an active CA RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience, with BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications; ENPC preferred.

Epic EMR experience is required. You must provide two supervisory references and the full SSN and DOB for consideration. The position features night shifts (3x12-hour shifts 18:00–06:00) with weekend rotation, a STEMI/Stroke-certified facility,

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required (no pending licensure).
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required; ENPC preferred.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required.
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating adult and pediatric patients.
• Facility is STEMI and Stroke Certified.
• Approximately 135 visits per day with 20 rooms and 26 beds.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00.
• Weekend requirement of 3 out of every 6 weekends.
• Floating required to cover the Observation Unit.
• Provide emergency care across trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric and pediatric cases.
• Perform triage and manage isolation precautions/PPE.
• Experience with ortho trauma, shock/trauma, and dysrhythmia management is relevant.
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

• Facility is a STEMI and Stroke Certified center
• Approximately 135 visits per day with 20 rooms/26 beds and an average daily census of 105
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00
• Weekend requirement of 3 out of every 6 weekends
• Floating required to cover the Observation Unit (ER Hold patients)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric cases
• Perform triage and manage isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with ortho trauma, shock/trauma, and dysrhythmia management is relevant to this role
• Scrub color is flexible, but prints are not allowed
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
