Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring an experienced RN for a High Risk OB position in Nashville, TN. Night shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with a 13-week assignment and 36 hours per week.
The role requires AWHONN, NRP, and prior labor and delivery experience, with 25-bed unit care and potential float to related OB areas.
Qualifications
- Active TN or compact RN license required.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and AWHONN (Intermediate/Advanced) or NCCEFM.
- Must have high risk antepartum, labor and delivery, and c-section experience.
- Magnesium drip administration experience required.
- GYN experience required.
Responsibilities
- Care for high risk obstetric patients including antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum cases.
- Care for patient ratios 1:1 to 6:1 depending on acuity.
- Circulate cesarean sections and coordinate with the care team.
- Document in Connect and Expanse systems.

- Charge nurse/CNC coverage each shift with unit secretary support when available
- Documentation systems used include Connect and Expanse

- Floating required to OB ED, Mother Baby, and Labor and Delivery units
- Unit performs c-sections, vaginal deliveries, and bereavement care

- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
