Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Labor & Delivery/OB RN for a 13-week assignment in Hawaii. An active Hawaii RN license and at least 3 years of L&D experience are required.

The nurse will cover Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units, using Meditech and GE/Centricity systems. Schedule includes 12-hour day/night shifts with on-call; travel housing allowance and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment.
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
• STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications recommended.

Responsibilities

• Covers Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units.
• Unit includes 8 labor beds and 18 postpartum beds.
• Cares for laboring mothers, assists with delivery, and provides immediate newborn and post-delivery maternal care.
• Uses Meditech and GE/Centricity fetal monitoring system.
• Variable schedule with day and night 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly) after orientation.
• Scheduled to take 12-hour call at least once per month.
• No hours or shift guarantees; report to Employee Health prior to start and ensure Hawaii arrival before start date.
• COVID-19 vaccination compliance required.

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment, with application upon offer acceptance if not already held
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications recommended

Responsibilities

• Covers Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
• Unit includes 8 labor beds and 18 postpartum beds
• Cares for laboring mothers, assists with delivery, and provides immediate newborn and post-delivery maternal care
• Uses Meditech computerized charting system and GE/Centricity fetal monitoring system
• Variable schedule with both day and night 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly) after the first week of orientation
• Scheduled to take 12-hour call at least once per month
• No guarantee of hours or shift preference
• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start, requiring arrival in Hawaii by the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday morning appointment
• COVID-19 vaccination compliance required
