Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN in Ohio for a 36-hour week with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The role requires 1+ year of L&D experience, an active OH license, and current BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications.

Postpartum and nursery experience are required, with a BSN preferred. The position involves working in a general medical-surgical hospital L&D unit, using Meditech EMR, and collaborating with physicians and care teams.

Qualifications

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP certifications active at time of start
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• Postpartum and nursery experience required
• BSN degree preferred
• COVID vaccination card if vaccinated

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit of a general medical surgical hospital
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Work week runs Sunday through Saturday
• Possible weekend requirements
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Perform head-to-toe patient assessments and reassessments per policy
• Assess and manage patient pain using appropriate evaluation and treatment methods
• Develop, revise, and evaluate individualized plans of care based on patient response
• Provide age-appropriate care and medication administration following growth and development principles
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and pain management
• Maintain a safe care environment and reduce risk of medical errors
• Collaborate with physicians, care coordination, and interdisciplinary teams on patient needs
• Maintain annual competencies, including bedside blood glucose waived testing
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
