Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP position in Kentucky. Licensed RNs with BLS and ACLS are required, plus NRP within 6 months of hire. ADN/ASN is required, BSN preferred. 3x12 hour nights, weekends/holidays required, high‑risk obstetric unit with full peri‑partal care.

Candidates must live within 75 miles of the facility or accept a lower pay rate if closer. First‑time travelers welcome to apply. Comprehensive benefits and travel bonuses may be available.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact).
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and Life‑Threatening Dysrhythmia certification required.
• NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high‑risk Labor & Delivery unit with 17 suites, triage/PACU beds, ORs, OB ED, and antepartum care.
• Provide comprehensive care before, during, and after childbirth.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 7p–7a.
• Weekends and holidays as needed.
• Implement professional nursing practice centered on patient and family‑centered care.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate treatment; facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching.
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members.
• Participate in unit‑based quality improvement activities and core measures.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates may be accepted at a lower pay rate.
• Provide last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth for consideration.
