Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment in Kentucky. Active KY or compact RN licensure and 1+ year OB/L&D experience are required. ACLS, BLS and related certs are expected as part of the role.

The 8-bed L&D unit handles OB and nursery cases with occasional GYN surgeries, staff must meet AWHONN standards and use MediTech EHR. Shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in KY or compact licensure required
• Minimum of 1+ years of OB/L&D experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Professional demeanor expected

Responsibilities

• Night shift position in the Labor and Delivery unit, part of the OB/GYN Combined department
• 8-bed unit caring for OB, nursery, occasional GYN surgery, and occasional breast reduction/abdominoplasty patients
• Patient ratios maintained per AWHONN standards
• Uses MediTech EHR system
• Shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with additional weekend shifts as needed
• On-call duties as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Provide nursing care across OB, nursery, occasional GYN surgery, and occasional breast reduction/abdominoplasty cases
• Unit supervised by the Director of Women’s Services
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual attire not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
