Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Labor & Delivery assignment in Illinois. Requires IL licensure and at least 2 years L&D experience in a mid-to-large hospital. Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (7p-7:30a), three shifts per week, with every other weekend/holiday rotation.

Travelers must reside more than 50 miles away; housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements and per diem provided. Weekly payroll and CEUs available.

Qualifications

• IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years Labor & Delivery experience in a mid-to-large hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit in a mid-to-large hospital averaging 230 deliveries per month
• Unit includes 14 labor rooms, 3 triage/overnight observation rooms, 2 ORs, 3 PACUs, and a 4-bed OBED off the main unit
• Night shift schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7p-730a, three shifts per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not eligible
• Returning employees must have been gone from the facility for at least 1 year and relocated with a new address before returning as a traveler
