Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN in Virginia for a 13-week contract with night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). The role requires 2+ years of L&D experience, active VA or compact RN license, and relevant certifications.

You will float between Haymarket and the primary site for ICU/ICCU needs and use the Epic charting system. Expect to manage labor and delivery, circulate for C-sections, and handle C-section recovery.

Qualifications

• Active VA or compact RN license must be in-hand.
• 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required.
• AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certifications preferred.
• Experience circulating for C-sections and C-section recovery required.
• IV therapy/phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs required.
• One reference required for consideration.
• Flu vaccination required for this system (exemptions reviewed upfront).

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit setting.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• 13-week contract length.
• Float between Haymarket and primary site for ICU/ICCU needs.
• All other floating within scope of practice.
• Epic charting system used; test-out option available.
• Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, circulating for C-sections, and C-section recovery care.
• Local candidates accepted at travel rate; no mile radius rule.
• RTO must be submitted with profile; max 10 days per 13-week contract; first week RTO not preferred.
• Former staff must wait 12 months before returning as traveler; case-by-case review.

• Former staff must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler, with case-by-case review possible within that timeframe
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
