The role is in a hospital setting with 12-hour day shifts, three days per week. The successful candidate will provide care across Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum units, perform assessments, and coordinate discharge planning while meeting nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in KY or Compact
• Current BLS certification
• ADN or ASN degree required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement safety measures
• Strong communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Provide care to Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum patients in a hospital unit
• Perform patient assessments, develop and follow care plans, and document per policy
• Coordinate admission, transfer, discharge and patient education
• Delegate and supervise tasks with the care team
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and core measures
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate

Responsibilities

• Work in the Obstetrics unit within a hospital setting
• Provides care to Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum patients
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• AWHONN FHM, STABLE, ACLS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care centered on patient and family needs throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
• Perform patient assessments, implement care plans, and document according to hospital policies and nursing standards
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge processes including patient education and care coordination
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and core measures
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility, with local candidates accepted at a lower rate
