Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for the Labor and Delivery unit in Kentucky. Requires 1+ year OB/L&D experience, active KY or Compact RN license, and current certifications (ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS).

Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM with every other weekend; travel rate eligibility for non-local candidates and comprehensive housing and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Kentucky or Compact)
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum 1+ years OB/L&D nursing experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility for travel rate eligibility
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment

Responsibilities

• Care for OB, nursery, and occasional Gyn surgery patients in the Labor & Delivery unit
• Maintain patient ratios per AWHONN standards
• Operate MediTech EHR system
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekend coverage every other weekend
• Call and float duties as needed; provide nursing care under Women’s Services leadership
• Uphold professional demeanor; scrubs required, casual wear not allowed

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 1+ years of OB/L&D experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Kentucky or Compact)
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum 1+ years of OB/L&D nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an 8-bed department within an acute care hospital
• Cares for OB, nursery, and occasional Gyn surgery, breast reduction, and abdominoplasty patients
• Maintains patient ratios per AWHONN standards
• Uses MediTech EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Call requirements as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Provide nursing care within the Labor and Delivery department under the direction of the Director of Women's Services
• Professional demeanor expected on the unit
• Scrubs of any color permitted; casual wear not allowed
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
