Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift contract in Illinois. Candidates must have an active IL RN license, BLS and NRP, and at least 2 years in LDR, recovery, and postpartum care.

Experience with EPIC is required and must be shown in employment history; two recent supervisor references are needed. The role involves 12-hour nights, weekend coverage, no on-call, and travel-recovery specifics apply.

Responsibilities

• Care for laboring, recovery and postpartum patients on a hospital unit.
• Work 12-hour night shifts and cover every other weekend.
• Provide direct patient care; no floating and no on-call requirements.
• Local candidates may be paid at the same rate as travelers.
• Separated rehires must sit out 12 months before returning as traveler.
• RTO limited to 3 days for this 6-week contract.
• Complete required EKG test if CVICU/Telemetry/ER experience and pass on-site test Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Labor/Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No floating required
• No on-call requirements
• Provide direct patient care for laboring, recovery, and postpartum patients
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from the facility for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 6-week contract
• Candidates in CVICU, Telemetry, or Emergency Room specialties at this facility must complete an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration, and pass a pass/fail on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation
