Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for Labor and Delivery in Indiana. The role requires an active IN or Compact RN license and at least 2 years of L&D experience in a high-acuity perinatal unit. Certifications must be current and not expire soon. 90-day gaps in work history are not allowed.

The position features a night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) in a Level 3 Perinatal Center with a 15-bed L&D unit and 1:1 patient care. Cerner EMR is used; travel housing and reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (IN or Compact)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a high-acuity perinatal unit
• Certifications must not expire within 30 days of start
• No 90-day gaps in work history within past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Care for obstetrical patients in a high-acuity L&D unit (Level 3 Perinatal Center)
• Maintain 1:1 patient care in a 15-bed L&D unit
• Work night shift on a 4x12 schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Utilize Cerner EMR for charting and orders
• No on-call requirements and no floating; block scheduling available

Requirements

• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP
• 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Level 3 Perinatal Center averaging 250+ deliveries per month
• 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Care for obstetrical patients with needs including PPROM, SROM, rule out labor, IOL, cesarean delivery, pre-eclampsia, and antepartum concerns
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift, 4x12's, Monday-Thursday 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Block scheduling available as an option
• Provide bedside RN care to a fast-paced, high-acuity L&D unit
• 2-shift orientation provided
• Hospital-issued scrubs required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
