Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for Labor & Delivery with OR circulator experience for cesarean sections and Fetal Monitoring/AWHONN Advanced certification. The role demands CA RN license, BLS/NRP, travel experience, and EPIC/Cerner usage in the last 6 months.

Assignment is 13 weeks, day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), no on-call, and requires supervisory reference and interview with three time-slot options. Housing allowance and travel reimbursements are included.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license in hand at time of consideration (Temp or Perm, no EMSA).
• Current BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring/AWHONN Advanced certifications (issued within 2 years, AHA for BLS).
• Minimum 2 years of concurrent experience in Labor and Delivery specialty.
• 1.5 years of continuous experience in specialty with no breaks (unless floating or demonstrating equivalent experience with same ratios).
• Travel experience required, with 1 year total travel experience and 6+ months of continuous travel experience leading up to consideration.
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience required within the last 6 months.
• 1 supervisory-level professional reference required.
• Interview availability required, including 3 specific days and times with time zone.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting.
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• No call requirements.
• OR circulator experience for cesarean sections required.
• Floating requirements may apply depending on unit needs, to be discussed during interview.
• Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including OR circulating duties for cesarean sections.
• No first-time travelers will be considered for this position.
• Previous permanent staff may return after 1 year; returning travelers may return after 1 year.
• Maximum 7 days RTO permitted, with no additional RTO requests after consideration.
• Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not eligible, except for LVNs/MAs.
• Candidates on assignment in San Diego for 9+ months or more are considered local and are not eligible.
