American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment in Clyde, NC. Requires intermediate fetal monitoring certification and 1–2 years of experience. The role covers labor, postpartum, and gynecologic care in a Duke Lifepoint hospital with 154 beds, located about 20 miles from Asheville.

13-week assignment with on-call duties and weekend requirements. Night shifts run 6:45 PM–7:15 AM with floating to PCU/ED/Medsurg as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Women’s Care Center/Ob Gyn Combined unit of an acute care hospital.
• 11-bed unit caring for infant, adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
• Provide nursing care across labor, postpartum, and gynecologic services; float to PCU, ED, or Medsurg as needed.
• Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM; on-call responsibilities; every other weekend.

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• 1-2 years of relevant experience required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Women's Care Center/Ob Gyn Combined unit of an acute care hospital
• 11-bed unit caring for infant, adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Common cases include pregnancy and preterm labor triage/observation, labor care, C-section recovery, postpartum, post-gyne/hysterectomy, and clean medsurg overflow
• Uses the Paragon EHR system
• Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required to PCU, ED, or Medsurg units
• 13-week assignment
• Provide nursing care across the full scope of labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecological services
• Facility is a Duke Lifepoint hospital with 154 beds and Joint Commission accreditation
• Located in Clyde, NC, about 20 miles from Asheville and near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
