Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery role in Boston, MA. Requires 2+ years of recent L&D or circulator experience and prior travel nursing history.

The candidate must hold an active MA RN license with current BLS and NRP certifications. Telemetry interpretation and advanced fetal monitoring training are required or preferred, with travel experience a must.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications; NRP not expiring during assignment.
• 2 years recent L&D RN or OR circulator experience required.
• Telemetry reading and interpretation skills required; pass telemetry test Day 1 with 85%.
• Evidence of Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring course; AWHONN preferred.
• Dysrhythmia/Telemetry interpretation course preferred.
• High risk obstetrics experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit with 9 labor rooms, 2 operating/recovery rooms, and 5 triage rooms.
• Approximately 3,000 deliveries per year.
• 12-hour PM shifts on a 36-hour DN rotation (7p-7:30a & 7a-7:30p).
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit.
• Floating and rotation between day and night shifts as part of the DN rotation schedule.
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.

• Must independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must pass a telemetry test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
