American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Texas, requiring a TX or compact license and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification. The role is in a high-volume, high-risk delivery unit with a 13-week assignment and 24-hour coverage.

Qualifications include active RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP, ADN minimum, and perinatal experience, with BSN preferred. Local candidates may be eligible for a reduced rate under the radius rule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Labor and Delivery/perinatal experience in a high-volume setting.
• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• 3-5 years Perinatal clinical experience preferred.
• STABLE program certification preferred.
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery/Women's ED setting.
• Support academic teaching within a large private OB practice.
• Participate in a high-volume delivery service (>500 deliveries per month).
• Ensure 24-hour in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage.
• Support Perinatal Transport Program.
• Work night shift 19:00-07:00.
• Assist expansion into new Women's Tower in early 2026.
• Radius rule applies for local candidates; mileage varies by location.

Responsibilities

• OB Triage unit in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility with 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 mother-baby couplet rooms, and 14 monitored ante-partum beds
• Academic teaching service supporting large private OB practices
• High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing 500+ deliveries per month
• 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
• Perinatal Transport Program in place
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:00
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide direct patient care within a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery/Women's Emergency Department setting
• Unit is expanding in early 2026 to a new Women's Tower
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate, with radius mileage varying by facility location
