Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology RN with 2+ years of IR and moderate sedation experience for a day-shift position at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Tyler, Texas. TX or compact RN license required.

Responsibilities include covering IR rooms, CT, and ultrasound with moderate sedation needs; day shift 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; call every 5th day and some weekends; Epic charting experience preferred. Open to travelers; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submittal.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum 2 years of interventional procedure experience.
• Must have performed moderate sedation duties for 2+ years, with experience no older than 3 months.
• Strong preference for Interventional Radiology experience.

• IR unit coverage for 2 IR rooms, CT, and ultrasound with moderate sedation needs.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submittal
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of interventional procedure experience required
• Must have performed moderate sedation duties for 2+ years, with experience no older than 3 months
• Strong preference for Interventional Radiology experience
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology unit covering 2 IR rooms, CT, and ultrasound suites with moderate sedation needs
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call requirement every 5th day and weekend
• Uses Epic charting system
• Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center, primary stroke center, and teaching hospital with residents and fellowship programs
• First-time travelers with strong experience and qualifications will be considered
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not accepted
• Candidates residing in certain nearby Texas counties are not eligible for this position
• Former staff members must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Onboarding requires completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Orientation includes onsite completion of training modules
