American Traveler is recruiting an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology role at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Georgia. The RN will manage inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients with a 1:1 RN-to-patient ratio during procedures and tight clinical requirements.

Requirements include GA or Compact licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 3+ years IR experience with Epic EMR. Shifts are 10 hours, 4 days a week, with a 13-week cycle and no weekend rotations; call duties are scheduled every fifth week.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 3 years of IR experience
• Minimum 12 months of core IR work in the last year
• Epic EMR experience
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN in the past year

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital's Radiology Diagnostics department
• Cares for inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient populations
• RN staffing ratio of 1:1 until procedure completion
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week (8:30a-5p)
• 40 hours per week on a 13-week schedule cycle
• No weekend rotation required
• Call every 5th week, Mon-Fri 5p-7a and Sat/Sun 7a-7p
• Holiday coverage only if holiday falls during a call week
• No floating outside the unit; coverage for all radiology services
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Philips monitors, and Philips PACS
• Provide direct nursing care and monitoring for IR procedures
• Orientation includes facility NEO, 1 departmental day, 1 week on unit

• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in Interventional Radiology within the last year
• Skilled in chest tube management, PIV starts, and moderate sedation
• Epic EMR experience
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital's Radiology Diagnostics department
• 637-bed Level 1 Trauma Designation teaching hospital with Chest Pain and Stroke Center designations
• Cares for inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient populations
• RN staffing ratio of 1:1 until procedure completion
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week (8:30a-5p)
• 40 standard hours per week on a 13-week schedule cycle
• No weekend rotation required
• Call requirement every 5th week, covering Monday-Friday 5p-7a and Saturday/Sunday 7a-7p
• Holiday coverage only required if holiday falls during an assigned call week
• No floating required outside the unit, though nursing coverage is provided for all radiology services
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Philips monitors, and Philips PACS imaging system
• Provide direct nursing care and monitoring for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Orientation includes facility NEO, 1 day of departmental orientation, and 1 week on the interventional unit
• Unit culture described as inclusive
• Scrubs are hospital-provided
• Parking available for $7.00 per pay period in the deck
• RTO requests require manager approval
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Returning employees or travelers must have been separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
