Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN with MO or compact license for a day-shift hospital assignment.

Requires BLS/ACLS, 2+ years RN experience with ICU/ED preferred, and prior travel nursing experience. IR procedures, vascular access, EKG interpretation, radiation safety and dysrhythmia management skills are essential. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and be willing to float as needed.

Qualifications

• Active MO or Compact RN license required at hand
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years RN experience, ICU/ED preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital/LTAC/Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• IR procedure experience including angioplasty, embolization, vascular closure systems, sheath removal, and sedation monitoring preferred
• Vascular access, EKG interpretation, radiation safety, and dysrhythmia management skills required
• Must be able to ambulate and lift up to 20 lbs

Responsibilities

• Work in Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; 5x8 schedule
• One weekday night call per week; one weekend call per month
• Mandatory floating across units as Patient Observer (sitter)
• Cerner charting system preferred
• Provide direct patient care during IR procedures and pre/post-monitoring
• Exposure to contagious illnesses is routine
• Must cover shifts, calls, weekends, and at least 50% of holidays
• Local candidates within 50 miles not eligible; 51–75 miles may be local-rate
• RTO max 10 days; orientation restrictions first week
• Extensions up to 3x13 weeks or 9 months with 6-month break after

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with ICU or ED experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Experience with IR procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, vascular closure systems, sheath removal, and procedural sedation monitoring strongly preferred
• Skills in vascular access, EKG interpretation, radiation/laser safety, and dysrhythmia management required
• Must be able to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Requires one weekday night call per week and one weekend call per month
• Mandatory floating required, including coverage as a Patient Observer (sitter) across other units
• Cerner charting system preferred
• Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year, including during inclement weather
• Provide direct patient care during interventional radiology procedures, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring
• Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is routine in this role
• Must be able to work assigned shifts, call, weekends, and at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible; those residing 51-75 miles away may be offered at a local rate
• Maximum RTO of 10 days permitted, with none allowed during the first week due to orientation
• Contract extensions permitted up to 3 consecutive 13-week terms or 9 months of consecutive service, followed by a mandatory 6-month break before returning in an agency capacity
• Returning travelers within 18 months are not required to repeat orientation
