Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit in Wheeling, WV. This travel position requires telemetry interpretation and vasoactive drip titration and offers 48-hour per week guaranteed hours.

You will work 12-hour day/night rotating shifts from 7a-7p with self-scheduling and 4 weekends per 4 weeks. Must have WV or Compact RN license, 2+ years of experience, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and reside within 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Active WV or Compact RN license required, with willingness to wait for licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• BSN not required for this position.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Must be able to titrate vasoactive drips and interpret telemetry strips independently.
• Unexpired driver's license copy required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 30-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) in an acute care hospital setting.
• Population includes chest pain, rule-out MI, CHF, arrhythmias, post-pacer, pre/post cardiac catheterization, and Tikosyn therapy patients.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:4 to 1:6.
• Uses EPIC EMR and Sunrise charting system.
• Uses Nihon Kohden telemetry monitors; read/interpret strips independently.
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetalol, Nitro, Heparin, and Lasix.
