Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an IMCU Stepdown unit on the night shift. The role requires WI/Compact licensure, at least 2 years of RN experience, and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Community hospital experience is required, with preferred teaching hospital and Trauma Level II exposure. The assignment is 13 weeks with 1:3-4 patient ratios, Epic EMR experience preferred, and travel experience is required.

Qualifications

• Active WI or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at submission, must be obtained during compliance)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required in hand
• NIHSS certification required (may be pending but must be completed during compliance)
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC line management, arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE
• Two supervisor references required, with one from most recent assignment or permanent position for ICU, IMCU, Med Surg, ED, or Birthing RNs

Responsibilities

• IMCU Stepdown unit caring for cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, neuro stepdown, and PCU/DOU patients
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• 13-week assignment length
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Provide stepdown-level nursing care to cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and renal patient populations
• Participate in rapid response and code team activations as needed
• Complete facility orientation modules, typically averaging 3-4 hours
• Passport-style badge photo required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Facility cannot accommodate candidates with latex allergies
• Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation
• Travel pairs accepted
