Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring an RN for a Night shift in a Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit in Wheeling, WV. The role requires 2+ years of RN experience and NIHSS certification, with skills in telemetry interpretation and EMR usage (EPIC/Sunrise).

You will work 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, with weekend rotation. The unit has 30 beds (IMU), nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:4 to 1:5, and access to support from Hospitalists and Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Active WV or Compact RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry strips.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in IMU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 (up to 1:6).
• Titrate cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetalol, Nitro, Heparin, Lasix).
• Monitor Telemetry strips and respond to changes with Tele Tech support.
• Float to Tele/MedSurg units as needed, with ratios up to 1:6 or 1:7.
• Use EPIC/Sunrise EMR systems and NIhon Kohden telemetry monitors.
