Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring a CVICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Arizona's Cardiovascular/Progressive Care Unit. The role requires cardiac ICU experience, ventilator management, and vasoactive drips, with a 2:1 patient ratio and a day shift schedule (7:00 am–7:30 pm).

Candidates must have an active Arizona or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and no major employment gaps. Cerner EMR experience is preferred; travel housing allowance and licensure reimbursement are part of the benefits

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days.
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac/ICU experience required.
• Experience with ventilator management and vasoactive drips required.
• Open heart, balloon pump, and CRRT experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and US SSN required.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past year.

Responsibilities

• Cardiovascular ICU/Progressive Care Unit setting with 15 beds.
• 2:1 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule, 7:00am-7:30pm (3x12s).
• Common procedures include post-CABG, STEMI, and vascular cases.
• No on-call requirements.
• Float to other units such as Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit.
• Travelers must work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule for a 13-week contract.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac and cardiovascular ICU patients.
• Scrubs may be any solid color.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius; local travelers not considered.
• Requests for time off must be less than one week.
• Travelers who previously worked as permanent staff at any Community Health Systems facility within past 2 years will not be considered.
