Qualifications

• Active RN license (IN or Compact)
• Current ACLS and NIH certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of ICU/CVICU experience
• At least 1 year of ventilator/cardiac drip experience
• Must pass Cardiac Rhythm Knowledge Exam with a score of 90% or higher
• Cardiac ICU and/or step-down/progressive care experience preferred
• Prior critical care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Care for cardiac and post-op cardiac patients in a 27-bed Cardiac Care unit
• Monitor high-acuity ICU patients and manage complex devices and meds
• Operate within an acuity-adaptable staffing model (1:1 to 1:4)
• Work 3x12-hour night shifts (18:00–06:30)
• Occasional on-call or low census after 4 weeks
• Floating to ICU or other units as needed
• Utilize Epic EMR and specialized equipment (EKOS, balloon pump, Impella, CRRT, ventilators)
• Maintain professional appearance (Navy blue scrubs; manage piercings)
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at reduced rate
• Holiday coverage required

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a CVICU night shift position requiring 3 years of ICU/CVICU experience and ACLS/NIH certifications.

• Current ACLS and NIH certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
• At least 1 year of ventilator/cardiac drip experience required
• Must pass facility Cardiac Rhythm Knowledge Exam with a score of 90% or higher
• Cardiac ICU and/or step-down/progressive care experience preferred
• Prior critical care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• positioned within a 27-bed Cardiac Care unit specializing in Cardiac/CVICU care
• Patient population includes cardiac and post-op cardiac cases as well as medical ICU overflow
• Acuity-adaptable staffing model with ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on patient acuity
• 3x12-hour night shifts from 18:00 to 06:30
• Every other weekend required, working Friday and Saturday night shifts
• May be placed on call or low census once every 4 weeks
• Floating to ICU or other inpatient units as needed
• Uses Epic EMR
• Utilizes specialized equipment including EKOS, balloon pump, Impella, IV pumps, transvenous pacers, cardiac monitors, CRRT, and ventilators
• Provide direct patient care for cardiac and post-op cardiac patients in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
• Sweatshirts, T-shirts, and visible facial piercings are not permitted; piercings must be removed or covered with flesh-colored retainers
• Candidates should be hard-working, punctual, reliable, and outgoing
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a reduced bill rate
• Holiday coverage requirements apply
