Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ventilator and cardiovascular drip experience.

The role requires active TX or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS with no expiring certs in 30 days, at least 1 year of ICU experience, and ICU proficiency with ventilators and CV drips. Neuro experience is preferred, with a no-gaps policy and references.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS with no expiring within 30 days
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience
• Ventilator management and CV drips experience
• Neuro experience preferred
• No 90+ day gaps in past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• ICU unit with 30 beds and ~82 staff
• Staffing ratio 2 charge nurses and 15 nurses per shift
• Patient ratios 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 depending on acuity
• Uses CRRT, IABP, and Impella equipment
• EMR system Meditech
• Perform procedures like thoracentesis, arterial line, central line placement
• Day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to IMU may be required
• Provide direct patient care in high-acuity ICU
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• ICU experience with ventilator management and cardiovascular drips required
• Neuro experience preferred
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)
• One professional reference required

Responsibilities

• ICU unit with 30 beds and approximately 82 staff members
• Staffing ratio of 2 charge nurses and 15 nurses per shift, adjusted for acuity
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 depending on acuity
• Uses CRRT, IABP, and Impella equipment (Impella not mandatory for contracts)
• EMR system is Meditech
• Performs procedures including thoracentesis, arterial line, and central line placement
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to IMU unit may be required
• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting
• Royal blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
