Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for night shifts in Indiana. Requires 2+ years in critical care, active IN or Compact RN license, and current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications. Travel nursing experience preferred. ICU focus with 1:2 patient ratio; 3×12 hour nights; Labor Day and weekend coverage needed.

Proficiency with Meditech Expanse EMR and vascular access care is expected. Local candidates within 80 miles at local rate considered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana or Compact jurisdiction.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience; travel nursing preferred.
• Experience with arterial/central lines and ventilator management.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in ICU.
• Maintain patient ratio 1:2.
• Night shift 3×12 hours, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
• Labor Day and weekend rotation coverage.
• No floating; focus on ICU care; compliant with Meditech Expanse EMR.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand, IN or compact license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• CCRN, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• Experience managing vasoactive and cardiac drips, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Experience with renal and respiratory critical care management including CRRT and BiPAP/CPAP
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Required to work Labor Day and weekend rotation
• No floating required
• Meditech Expanse EMR used, experience strongly preferred
• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Experience in neuro, cardiovascular, GI, and respiratory critical care management is valuable
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within an 80-mile radius
• Must call out any absence if more than a week in advance
• Candidates should be prepared to assist with holiday coverage as indicated during consideration
• Pending state licenses are not accepted; license must be active prior to start
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
