Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for an evening shift in a hospital setting. The position runs 3x12 hour days from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM and requires 1.5 years of ICU experience with current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications and an active NJ or compact RN license.

Candidate should be proficient in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction, with EPIC charting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 1.5 years ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting.
• Evening shift schedule (3x12 hours, 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM).
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible.
• Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler.
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation.
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted.

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for an evening shift position requiring 1.5 years of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Proficient in IV therapy, arterial line and central line care/management, and medication administration including continuous IV sedation
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
