Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ICU travel assignment in Henderson, NC. Requires 2+ years of critical care experience, active NC or Compact RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Must meet travel criteria and embody bedside critical care expertise.

The role covers night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with weekend and on-call requirements, and involves floating to PCU and ventilator management under Paragon EHR in an advanced ICU environment. Scrub colors are navy or black.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• 2+ years of recent acute care critical care experience required.
• Must have critical care skills including ventilator management and drip titration (inotropes, chronotropes, etc).
• CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• ICU setting within an 8-bed unit of a hospital with the region's largest and most advanced ICU.
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult critical care patients.
• Patient ratio of 2:1.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Weekend hours and call requirements as needed, with every‑other‑weekend expectation.
• Floating to PCU required.
• Uses Paragon EHR system.
• Work at a Joint Commission accredited hospital with an 'A' LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating.
• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilator and drip management.
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue or black.
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate.
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full‑time basis while on assignment
