Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Texas. Requires 1–2 years ICU experience and active TX license or compact license. ACLS/BLS certifications, SSN and DOB needed. No employment gaps over 90 days.

The role includes 12-hour day shifts, floating to CVIMCU/IMCU, and a strict dress code. Benefits discussed with recruiter.

Qualifications

• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
• Manage patients with mechanical ventilation, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and EKOS equipment
• Document in Meditech EMR
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Float to CVIMCU and IMCU as needed
• Not placed on-call
• Maintain strong personal accountability in care delivery
• Adhere to royal blue scrub dress code
• Residents must be more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1-2 years of ICU experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 1-2 years of ICU experience required
• CV or Neuro ICU experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• 26-bed ICU unit with day and night shift staffing of 1 charge RN, 1 rapid response RN, and 8 bedside RNs
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Uses mechanical ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and EKOS equipment
• Performs procedures including intubation, bedside ECMO cannulation, chest tube insertion, bedside tracheostomy, and central line insertions
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend shift required
• Floating required to CVIMCU and IMCU
• Not placed on-call
• Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
• Candidate must demonstrate strong personal accountability
• Royal blue scrub dress code
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel placement; local candidates not accepted
