American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift in Maine. Must hold ME or Compact RN license with ICU/Step Down experience and current BLS/ACLS; NIHSS required. PALS preferred but not mandatory; AHA certs must be completed before start.

Position is an 8-bed SCU/ICU-Step Down unit with 12-hour nights (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) and every-other-weekend. Float duties within a 25-mile radius and EPIC EMR usage apply. Local Maine candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in ME or Compact.
• Minimum 2 years ICU/Step Down nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS.
• PALS preferred but not required; AHA certs required before start.
• Non-AHA certifications accepted at submission.
• Driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references required.

Responsabilités

• Work in the SCU/ICU-Step Down unit of a hospital.
• Care for ICU and Step Down patients in an 8-bed unit.
• Maintain patient nurse ratio of 1:2–3.
• 12-hour night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
• Every other weekend requirement; call and float duties as needed.
• Float to MSU or other units within a 25-mile policy.
• Use EPIC EMR for patient documentation.
• Provide direct patient care to ICU/Step Down patients.
• Pediatric experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the SCU/ICU-Step Down unit of a hospital setting
• 8-bed unit caring for ICU and Step Down patients
• Patient ratio of 1 nurse to 2-3 patients
• 12-hour night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Call requirements vary based on unit needs
• Float requirements apply, including to MSU or other units as a resource within a 25-mile float policy
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Provide direct patient care to ICU and Step Down patients
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
• Solid color scrubs required with no prints permitted
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage prohibited on the unit
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this upon consideration
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are eligible to apply but are not eligible for renewals or extensions
