Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment in North Carolina. The ideal candidate holds NC or compact RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications and has recent ICU, and travel nursing experience.

You will provide care in ICU with cross-coverage in PCU/stepdown, work 3x12s from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and participate in a high-acuity environment with 1:2-3 patient ratios. Epic EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Two professional references within last two years
• Nursys license verification within last 7 days
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination with exemption documentation if applicable
• Skills include IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and cardiac dysrhythmia management

Responsibilities

• ICU with cross-coverage in PCU/stepdown as needed
• Day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Patient ratio 1:2–3
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• Floating within the hospital as needed
• Care for critically ill ICU patients including multisystem organ dysfunction, post-cardiac surgery, CVA/stroke, and renal failure (CRRT/CVVHD)
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• Local candidates within 50 miles may have reduced pay
• Previous staff must be separated for at least one year and not be local
• Blocked scheduling requests will not be approved
