Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU travel position in California. The ideal candidate must hold an active CA RN license and have Epic EMR experience, with at least one year of ICU and acute care experience.

Prior travel nursing and two supervisor references are required. The assignment is 13 weeks with rotations of 3x12 hours. Local candidates may be considered at the same rate as travelers; UC Learning Center and EpicU modules are part of orientation and ongoing

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license in hand at time of application.
• Minimum one year of acute care experience.
• Minimum one year of ICU experience in past two years.
• Epic EMR experience must be noted in work history.
• Two supervisor references required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ICU within a hospital.
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Complete UC Learning Center and EpicU training during orientation and annually.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates.
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least one year to return as traveler.
• Manager interview may be conducted prior to placement.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care setting required
• Minimum one year of full-time equivalent experience in the ICU specialty within the past two years required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
• Two supervisor references required
• Prior travel nursing experience required to apply
• Required certifications must be active and in hand at time of application

Responsibilities

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide direct patient care within the ICU as part of the nursing team
• Candidates must complete required UC Learning Center and EpicU training modules during orientation and annually
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Former permanent staff must be separated from employment for a minimum of one year to return as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred, with no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Manager interview may or may not be conducted prior to placement
