Qualifications

• Active CA RN license in-hand
• BLS and ACLS in-hand
• 1 year ICU experience within the past 2 years
• 1 year acute care experience
• Epic EMR experience documented in work history
• Two supervisor references required
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Dysrhythmia management
• IV therapy, arterial line and central line care
• Titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• BiPAP/CPAP management and ventilated patient care
• ETT and NT suctioning
• Isolation precautions and PPE use

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU patients, including cardiac and respiratory monitoring
• Manage ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients using advanced skills
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary ICU care team
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• On-call as needed, floating as needed
• Epic EMR use must be noted in work history

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring CA RN licensure and at least one year of ICU experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required in-hand
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience required within the past two years
• Minimum of 1 year acute care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• Two supervisor references required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Experienced in management of dysrhythmias
• Proficient in IV therapy, arterial line, and central line care/management
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with ETT and NT suctioning
• Knowledgeable in isolation precautions and PPE use

Responsibilities

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• On-call required as needed

• Max of 7 days RTO preferred per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
• First-time travelers are not accepted unless otherwise noted
