Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a California license and EPIC EMR experience for a 13-week travel assignment in California. The role covers ICU/CCU care with 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM day shifts and a 3x12-hour schedule.

Requirements include ACLS/BLS, a minimum of 1 year ICU experience, and the ability to provide supervisor references. Generous housing allowance and travel/licensure reimbursements are available.

Qualifications

• Local candidates receive same pay as travelers and prior staff must be separated for 1 year.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a California RN license, EPIC EMR experience, and at least one year of ICU/critical care experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU/critical care experience required within the past two years
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be reflected in work history
• Skills required include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, arterial and central line management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator patient care, and ETT/NT suctioning
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE protocols required
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided at time of application

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU/CCU of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU/CCU patients, including cardiac and respiratory management
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated from employment for a minimum of one year to return as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week contract is highly preferred, with none permitted in the first two weeks of the assignment
• A screenshot confirming RTO request must be provided at the time of application
• Manager interviews may or may not be conducted prior to placement
